Hello.  My name is Alicia Gentry and I am excited to be your child's kindergarten teacher!  The 2014/2015 school year will be my 10th year teaching kindergarten.  I love teaching!  I look forward to working with you to create a successful 1st year for your children! 

My Educational Background:

  • I grew up attending Elkin Elementary, Elkin Middle, and Elkin High School.
  • I earned a B.S. in Elementary Education at Appalachian State University in 2005.
  • I earned my M.A. in Reading Education from Appalachian State University in 2009.
  • I earned my National Board Certification in 2011.
